Jamie Colecchi joins the Mon Valley Alliance as Director of Operations & Development

Charleroi, PA, April 23, 2020

 

The Mon Valley Alliance (MVA) announced today that Mr. Jamie Colecchi will be filling the role of Director of Operations and Development.


As Director, Mr. Colecchi is responsible for handling the operational responsibilities as well as increasing the capacity of the organization through community development initiatives, small business development, and long term organizational development of the MVA.


“We are pleased to have Jamie as a part of our team. He has extensive community and economic development experience which will be a valuable asset for the Mon Valley,” said Ben Brown, Chief Executive Officer of the MVA. “Our new strategic plan is in the works and we are focusing on additional programing and assistance that we can provide to the business community. Jamie will be an important piece of the overall puzzle to provide comprehensive business growth and support services.”


Mr. Colecchi received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Political Science. He and his wife, Michelle (Popovic) are lifelong residents of the Mon Valley where they raise their two children (Clayton, 18 and Cameran, 12) in the Borough of Glassport.


Previously, Mr. Colecchi has held several senior community and economic development positions over the past 20 years, including 16 years at the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission and three years with Congressman Mike Doyle (PA-18). In addition, Mr. Colecchi has previously served as Councilman for the Borough of Glassport, Twin Rivers Council of Governments Board of Directors, Steel Valley Authority Board of Directors, President of South Hills Amateur Hockey Association and President of Ringgold Hockey Association.
