Monongahela, PA – April 7, 2025 — The Mon Valley Alliance Foundation is excited to announce the launch of open office hours at its Business Resource Center (BRC), located in Monongahela. Starting April 8th, the center will welcome walk-ins every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist small businesses, municipalities, and nonprofits with a wide range of needs.

The BRC offers general business resources including marketing, website development, business planning, networking opportunities, HR resources, government procurement support, access to capital, and grant assistance.

Since its ribbon cutting on November 15, 2024, the BRC has become a valuable hub for the region, providing support with business planning, access to loans, and guidance to other regional and state resources. The center has hosted a variety of events, including the Ideas2Enterprise business accelerator, the Mid Mon Valley Rapid Readiness Workshop, the Gismondi Job Training Program, and community networking events designed to connect entrepreneurs in the Valley.

In addition to offering walk-in support, the BRC is also available to rent for trainings, meetings, and programs that align with the mission of fostering community and economic development in the Mon Valley. The center has already become a gathering point for innovation and collaboration across sectors.

During open office hours, visitors will be greeted by staff who review completed intake forms, discuss challenges and opportunities, and work collaboratively to create an action plan tailored to each organization’s goals. Appointments are not required but attendees should fill out the intake form in advance via the BRC’s website at www.mvabrc.org/intake. When additional expertise is needed, staff members provide referrals to trusted partner organizations.

“Small businesses and local governments are the backbone of the Valley,” added Madison Codeluppi, Business Development Manager for the Mon Valley Alliance Foundation. “Providing them with accessible, personalized support through the BRC is essential to helping the region thrive.”

The BRC team continues to assess the evolving needs of individuals and organizations in the Valley and will ask all visitors to complete a brief survey to help identify specific training interests. “These open office hours are not just about providing resources, they're about listening,” said Abby Stark, Director of Strategy & Development for the Mon Valley Alliance Foundation. “We want to understand what businesses, nonprofits, and municipalities in the Valley truly need so we can serve them more effectively.”

As the BRC continues to grow, the Mon Valley Alliance Foundation remains committed to delivering responsive, accessible support that strengthens the Valley’s economic future. More information about the Business Resource Center, upcoming events, and space rental can be found on at www.mvabrc.org. Please email brc@monvalleyalliance.org if you have any questions.
